Description
Information and communication technology plays an essential role in 21st century life and work and, consequently, the same role it must play in learning, with an ubiquitous access to technology. Accordingly, reCity students and staff have 24/7 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) access to information, resources, and technologies that engage and empower them to do background research, information and resource gathering, and data analysis, to publish with multiple media types to wide and varied audiences, to communicate with peers and experts, and to gain experience and expertise in collaborative work.
To enhance the curriculum vitae of graduates for an effortless work-placement and to give them those digital skills useful to reach their potential, using at their best the digital devices provided, FISD offers a comprehensive curriculum that addresses a broad range of professionals in city regeneration concerns. Designed by experts, these courses will deepen students knowledge and facilitate their implementation of professional digital applications.
Information and Communication Technology - ICT is a studio-based unit that aims to develop in the participants the use of digital devices and practical skills, today required in the contemporary society and labour market to overcome increasing digital divide. As expected learning outcomes, students will acquire knowledges necessary in order to be able to use Mac Os and Apple iWork applications features.
Moreover, thanks to the digital devices provided by the Consortium: a digital kit composed of a computer laptop with microphone and webcam (a Macbook or iPhone/iPod), softwares and shared iPads, available in extra-school hours too, and access to free wi-fi points, available in every learning venue of the reCity Erasmus Mundus Masters Course to empower mobile learning, students will have access to unlimited resources on-line provided by every FISD’s partner. The digital kit is not only an attractive factor for students, but also a way to support them both with the competences and the tools which they need during all the length of the ReCity (teaching and study hours, mobility, internship, thesis). Furthermore, students through it can easily communicate in with institutions, teachers, colleagues, family.
